Developing New Stewards of the Ocean Through Surfing
Ohana Surf Camp was founded by Rodrigo Cardenas, a dedicated Ocean enthusiast. He started his own surf camp and surf school in Ventura near Santa Barbara to inspire the next generation to become stewards of the ocean, all while learning and reinforcing ocean safety. Rodrigo aims to educate children and adults about ocean safety and help them develop a love the ocean one wave at a time.
About the Founder
Rodrigo Cardenas was born and raised in Southern California. He is a father, a veteran, and a local educator. At age nineteen, he met a friend who was a surfer who asked him if he wanted to go surfing, and he said yes. After that first session, he fell in love with surfing. He went out that same week but bought all the wrong equipment. Relentless in trying to perfect his craft, he has managed various summer camps for the past two decades.
